Wow, long time no update! There hasn’t been much news for Kay lately, it seems, so I haven’t been able to update on much unfortunately. But anyway, for now I’ve got screencaps of Kay’s 2011 movie Little Birds. Let’s hope there’s some news soon!

See What Hits: Kay Panabaker on Little Birds

You might recognize Kay Panabaker, or you might have her mixed up with her sister Danielle. I think they look alike but they don’t like it when I say that. Kay costars with Juno Temple in the drama Little Birds, a Sundance pick now getting released. She plays Alison, the best friend of Lily (Temple), who run away from their trailer park together and fall in with some hoodlums in L.A. We got to speak with Kay Panabaker about writer/director Elgin James’ debut feature.

CraveOnline: How did you as an actor and in the character deal with the frustration of you can’t convince these boys to do the right thing, because they have no alternative to crime?
Kay Panabaker: Well, I come across this all the time where I don’t agree with people’s life choices and I try to explain my point of view, and there’s just some people that are set in their ways. I mean, there are some things that people try to convince me to do that I simply won’t, and so I could see it either way. But I know that Alison’s main goal in this entire movie and most of their relationship is be as supportive of Lily as you can. So even if she can’t talk sense to the boys and she can’t talk sense to Lily, she’ll at least be there in case anything happens.

Face Time | Kay Panabaker

I met the Los Angeles-based actress Kay Panabaker on a quick visit to New York. We chatted about a lot of things, including her coming film, “Little Birds,” which opens Aug. 29 and also stars Juno Temple, Kate Bosworth and Leslie Mann. Panabaker’s character, Alison, is solid and levelheaded, much like the actress herself. Mature beyond her 22 years, this young lady knows who she is, what she stands for and which beauty products she can’t live without!

T.T.: What have you been up to this summer?
K.P.: I’ve enjoyed spending some time in San Diego. I always try to get to the zoo when I’m there, as I’m a huge animal lover. My boyfriend and I have three dogs. We recently rescued a pup; we’re fixing her up so we can find her a good home. I also found time to hang out with some of my gamer friends. Those would be friends who love playing video games! We play mostly the Lego series. The movie versions, like the Lego Star Wars series.

Kay joined her friend Jennifer Stone at the NYLON Magazine 13th Anniversary Celebration yesterday, and while she did not walk the red carpet, at least one picture of her and Jennifer was taken at the event! I’ll add it to the gallery as soon as we’ve got a new host and I have that back up and running!
